Website – Custom or WordPress, the question is now!

Before deciding which path to take in order to get a suitable and efficient website, many business owners are confused – is it custom or WordPress the right direction for them?
There is no correct answer but there are pros and cons for both options. Let’s see what showed our experience with different clients and several website options – custom, WordPress and a mix of those two – Custom WordPress website.

WordPress Website

PCreating a website by the use of WordPress takes a shorter time compared to building it from the scratch.
WordPress has responsive themes that help you make your site effective on mobile devices, tablets, and PCs. These themes allow the user to have a positive experience while browsing your site on any device.
WordPress websites are generally pretty SEO-friendly straight out of the box but a lot depends on the theme and plugins used. The choice of whether you should make a website on the WordPress platform depends on the complexity of the tasks and their scope. Lots of free plug-ins and tons of free themes sound promising and if you have a limited budget and don’t need complex preferences but you want a nice, clear, and functional website WordPress should be your choice.
WordPress is just super cool for a lot of things and can be a great option for your new website if you are not a huge business that needs to stand out and use the website not only as a great functional tool but also as a part of marketing

Custom Website

The biggest and most famous companies in the world use custom-built websites as their main marketing tools. This is mostly because, unlike WordPress websites, they can be completely unique.
Unlike the websites made using WordPress, a custom one can be made to resemble anything you want. Any aspect of a custom website can be tailored to the specifications of the client, making it truly unique. This flexibility also
makes it ideal for businesses that want to showcase their products in a unique way. A custom website allows companies to get away from template designs that have been replicated on numerous other websites.
Custom web design may come at a higher cost, but for businesses that depend on a solid web presence, it’s a sound marketing investment. The main advantage of having a custom website is that it will be unique and meet
all your individual requirements and preferences.
For sure you should consider creating a custom website if you have a huge online store with filtering and all kinds of plugins. We usually only recommend custom sites for very advanced design or functionality needs.

Custom WordPress Website

Our voice goes to this magical combination!
If you decide to go with WordPress, it does not mean you have to use a pre-made WordPress template. You can have a custom-designed website and build it on WordPress. We have designed and built many sites using WordPress as the platform and each site is not built using any templates.
Our view based on the huge experience is that custom WordPress sites are the golden mean. They will cover more than enough for the majority of any business’s needs.
In case you decide to go with this option you will have the benefits of a bespoke website, along with the ease of adding that rich content Google loves.
It’s true that custom WordPress sites are more expensive than simply using an existing WordPress theme, but its important to remember that the return on investment is likely to be higher because the project was built with the
business’s specific needs in mind, and can be more customizable, scalable, and long-lasting over time.
If we do some mixing of all the reasons pros /cons it would mainly look like this:

  • A custom site will probably load faster.
  • A WordPress site will likely be quicker to put together. Plugins will make
  • things like security easier.
  • A custom site will cost more.
  • WordPress can’t have all the preferences as a custom website.
  • Custom website means unique custom design unique and total SEO control

In the end, or better said – at the beginning one of the basic things you have to have in mind is project specifications and allocated budget and those are the main reasons that will affect the final decision of which type of website to
choose.
